Shower Pumps

The Salamander ORA 2.0 Bar Twin Ended Shower Pump is a compact, quiet pump designed to boost water pressure to a single shower in a gravity-fed, positive head system. Twin-ended means it boosts both the hot and cold water supplies simultaneously — essential for thermostatic shower valves that require balanced pressure on both inlets. Made in the UK by Salamander Pumps, one of Britain's leading shower pump manufacturers. ⚠️ Important — Positive Head Systems Only The Salamander ORA range is suitable for positive head, gravity-fed systems only. A positive head system requires the cold water storage tank to be positioned at least 600mm above the pump inlet. Installing this pump in a negative head system will result in the pump failing to operate correctly. If you are unsure of your system type, consult a qualified plumber before ordering. A positive head system is a gravity-fed system where the cold water storage tank (typically in the loft) is positioned at least 600mm above the pump inlet. The weight of water above the pump creates a positive pressure that triggers the pump to start automatically when a tap or shower is opened. Most traditional UK homes with a cold water tank in the loft have a positive head system. What is the difference between a single-ended and twin-ended pump? A single-ended pump boosts only one water supply — either hot or cold. A twin-ended pump boosts both hot and cold simultaneously, which is essential for thermostatic shower valves that require balanced pressure on both inlets. The ORA 2.0 is twin-ended and is the correct choice for most thermostatic showers. Can I use this pump for more than one shower? The ORA 2.0 is rated for a single shower outlet.
