Can I use this to convert a water butt for my allotment?
Yes — these tank connectors are ideal for fitting a tap or pipe outlet to a standard water butt or IBC tank. Simply drill the correct size hole, fit the connector through the tank wall, and connect your Speedfit pipe or tap fitting.
What pipe types are compatible?
These connectors are compatible with copper pipe to BS EN 1057 and Speedfit Barrier Pipe to BS7291. They cannot be used with stainless steel pipe.
Do I need any special tools to fit this?
No special tools are required for the push-fit pipe connection. You will need a hole saw or tank cutter of the appropriate size to cut the hole in your tank or water butt wall.
