Four water functions from a single tap — and one unit left at a clearance price. The Abode Scandi-E 4-in-1 Boiling Water Tap delivers domestic hot and cold, premium filtered ambient water, and instant boiling water at 80–98°C, all from one monobloc fitting in a bold matt black finish. The Hotkey™ proximity sensor activates the boiling function hands-free when you approach with a pan or kettle, and the 360° thermally insulated spout rotates freely for maximum flexibility. The Proboil.4E 4-litre under-sink boiler and filter system is included. A working model is on display in our Norwich showroom — come and have a brew.
⚠️ Professional installation required. Requires under-sink space for the Proboil.4E boiler (approx. 300 × 200 × 400mm). Single-hole mounting — 35mm diameter hole required. Minimum 1.0 bar water pressure. 230V power supply required for the boiler unit.
Key Features
4-in-1 Functionality: Hot, cold, filtered ambient, and instant boiling water (80–98°C) from one tap
Hotkey™ Proximity Activation: Hands-free boiling water dispensing — ideal for heavy pans and busy cooking
Proboil.4E Boiler Included: 4-litre under-sink tank with integrated filter system — no separate purchase required
360° Rotating Spout: Thermally insulated for safe handling; maximum sink coverage
Matt Black Finish: Fingerprint-resistant; bold Scandinavian design aesthetic
Ceramic Disc Valves: Smooth, precise quarter-turn control; long-lasting durability
Anti-Splash Aerator: Clean, controlled water flow
Energy Efficient: Only heats water as needed; advanced tank insulation
How Hotkey™ Works
The Hotkey™ proximity sensor detects when you approach with a pan or kettle and activates the boiling water function hands-free — no need to press a button when your hands are full or wet. For safety, the boiling function requires deliberate proximity activation and will not dispense accidentally. Without the Hotkey™ active, the tap operates as a standard 3-way mixer (hot, cold, filtered) only.

Frequently Asked Questions
What are the 4 water functions?Hot — standard domestic hot water from your boiler. Cold — standard mains cold water. Filtered ambient — mains cold water passed through the integrated filter for pure, great-tasting drinking water. Boiling — instant water at 80–98°C from the Proboil.4E tank, activated via the Hotkey™ proximity sensor.
Is the boiling water truly boiling? The Proboil.4E delivers water at 80–98°C — hot enough for tea, coffee, instant noodles, and blanching vegetables. The temperature is adjustable within this range. At 98°C it is effectively at boiling point for most practical purposes.
How does Hotkey™ work safely? The proximity sensor requires deliberate activation — you must approach the spout with a vessel to trigger the boiling function. It will not dispense accidentally. The thermally insulated spout means the exterior remains safe to touch even when dispensing boiling water. Without the Hotkey™ active, the tap functions as a standard 3-way mixer only.
What under-sink space is required for the boiler? The Proboil.4E tank requires approximately 300 × 200 × 400mm of under-sink space, along with access to a 230V power supply. Ensure you have sufficient clearance before ordering. If you’re unsure, call us on 01603 381095.
Does it require a plumber and electrician to install?Yes — professional installation by a qualified plumber and electrician is strongly recommended. The tap requires standard plumbing connections and the boiler unit requires a 230V electrical connection under the sink.
How often does the filter need replacing?Filter replacement frequency depends on water hardness and usage. Refer to the installation documentation for specific guidance on your filter cartridge replacement schedule.
What guarantee does this carry? Please refer to the warranty documentation included in the box for full Abode guarantee terms. Contact us on 01603 381095 or at customerservice@bubblegumbathrooms.co.uk if you have any questions about warranty coverage.

Installation planning: A 220–240V mains electrical supply is required at the installation point. Frequently Asked Questions
Which option should I choose?Choose Toilet Only if your installer has confirmed an existing or separately supplied frame and cistern are compatible. Choose the frame and flush plate bundle if you need the supporting installation pack, or the Auto Kit bundle to add automatic pre-flush and flushing.
Does every option include automatic flushing? No. The separate automatic pre-flush/flush kit, model 46944001, is included only in the option named Toilet With Frame Plate and Auto Kit. Automatic lid operation is a separate function.
Does it need electricity?Yes. The washing, drying and powered functions require a 220–240V mains supply. A qualified electrician must assess and install the appropriate bathroom electrical connection.
What does the dual spray arm system do?It provides separate front and rear washing, with water temperature and pressure adjustable through the remote control.
What is Triple Vortex flushing? It directs the flush into the bowl from three directions to provide thorough bowl coverage.
How should I clean and descale it?Follow the Grohe care instructions supplied with the toilet and use approved products for the washing system. In hard water areas, follow the recommended descaling schedule. Ask us to confirm the correct maintenance kit for your model before ordering.
