Key Features to Look For
- Demister Pad — Keeps the mirror clear of condensation after a shower or bath, so you're never waiting for the mirror to clear.
- Touch Control — Tap to turn the light on/off and adjust brightness without fumbling for a switch.
- Shaver Socket — An integrated shaver socket (usually 2-pin) lets you charge electric shavers and toothbrushes directly from the mirror.
- IP Rating — Bathroom mirrors must be IP44 rated or higher for safe use in bathroom zones. All our mirrors meet the required IP rating for bathroom installation.
- Size — Choose a mirror that's proportionate to your basin or vanity unit. Common sizes range from 500x390mm to 800x600mm and larger.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need an electrician to fit an LED bathroom mirror?
Yes — LED bathroom mirrors need to be hardwired into a mains supply by a qualified electrician. They cannot simply be plugged in. The wiring must comply with Part P of the Building Regulations. Some mirrors come with a plug for use outside the bathroom (e.g. in a bedroom), but for bathroom installation, hardwiring is required.
What does IP44 mean?
IP44 is an Ingress Protection rating indicating the mirror is protected against solid objects larger than 1mm and against water splashing from any direction. This is the minimum rating required for bathroom mirrors installed in Zone 2 (within 60cm of a bath or shower). All our bathroom mirrors meet this requirement.
What is tunable white lighting?
Tunable white mirrors allow you to adjust the colour temperature of the LED light — from warm white (around 2700K, similar to a traditional bulb) to cool daylight (around 6500K). This lets you set the perfect light for relaxing in the evening or for applying make-up in bright, natural-looking light.
Can I order if the item shows as out of stock?
Yes — most of our mirrors and cabinets can be ordered even when showing as out of stock, and we'll fulfil your order as soon as stock is available. If you need a specific delivery timeframe, please contact us at customerservice@bubblegumbathrooms.co.uk before ordering.
